Panasonic is exhibiting an installation piece at this year's expo titled 'KUKAN,' which combines its video and audio technologies, under the theme of 'The Invention of Space.'



Panasonic expects to provide wonder and fresh stimulation to the world by installing 140 55-inch screens on seven pillars, utilizing advanced technology in video, audio, and lighting technology honed through its consumer electronics business, to showcase Japan's unique worldview and natural landscapes, thereby highlighting the potential and charm of various undiscovered spaces.

Shuichi Furumi, the creator of the work, stated, “I realized a three-dimensional space—'7 Dimensions'—using seven pillars and 140 monitors. This device disrupts space, constructs new space, and creates time within space. Take your time and stroll around. Try entering the pillars.” "Experience the space of Japanese culture. And immerse yourself in the unknown and the uncharted," he said.

Panasonic’s installation piece, set up at the 2016 Milan Furniture Fair, is currently on display at the Fuori Salone in Milan. Panasonic co-sponsored the "Open Borders" event organized by the magazine INTERNI. Gilda Bojardi, editor-in-chief of INTERNI, who viewed Panasonic’s installation, said, "Through this year’s fair, Panasonic is demonstrating stronger technological capabilities and an ideal vision of the future than ever before."
