Panasonic Corporation has announced the development of the 'PA-N Relay', a relay switch suitable for programmable logic controllers (PLC), with plans to launch it in April of this year.

This new product complies with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards and has received certification from Underwriters Laboratories (UL), the safety testing organization of the American insurance association, for programmable logic controllers used to control production facilities in factories.



This product features a high dielectric breakdown voltage of 3000V and excellent impact resistance, improving stability and reliability by preventing failures in industrial equipment. Additionally, it has reduced coil power consumption by approximately 10% compared to existing products, enhancing energy efficiency.

Furthermore, it is expected to enable PLC manufacturers to develop products that are compatible with upcoming revised IEC and UL standards.
