Veritas Technologies (www.veritas.com/kr) announced new products for the 'NetBackup 5200 Series,' a next-generation integrated appliance that supports data visibility.

The newly released NetBackup 5240 is the first solution to provide integrated data protection and visibility maps when used with Information Map, helping enterprises effectively solve the challenge of managing dark data with unverified value.

As companies strive to maintain balance amidst the explosive growth of data, data protection integrated with visibility capabilities is critical for reducing risk and end costs. On average, 41% of corporate data remains inaccessible or unchanged for over three years, making integrated data visibility essential to identify risky information within this vast amount of data.

NetBackup 5240, released by Veritas, allows you to quickly and easily optimize information storage and reduce information risks through the Information Map, which is available as a free trial. Existing NetBackup 5200 Series appliances also provide compatibility with Information Map, allowing all existing customers to conveniently manage unstructured data visually at a glance and gain insights.

The NetBackup 5240 is the latest addition to the Veritas NetBackup appliance series, which has enjoyed immense popularity and unprecedented growth over the past six years.
