LG Electronics will unveil new smart accessory products including four types of Bluetooth headsets and one wireless mouse at 'IFA 2016', Europe's largest consumer electronics exhibition held in Berlin, Germany in September.
LG Electronics' Bluetooth headset 'Tone+ Active (HBS-A100)' unveiled this time is characterized by featuring two external speakers that deliver expansive stereo sound without earphones. Users can make calls and enjoy music through external stereo speakers without inserting earphones into their ears. Therefore, the risk factors that could occur when users engage in outdoor activities with earphones inserted and fail to hear surrounding sounds are also reduced.
Additionally, this product supports water-resistant functionality to protect the device from excessive perspiration during exercise. It features the 'Qualcomm aptX™ HD' audio codec to reproduce 24-bit Hi-Fi audio without loss. Users can also measure exercise volume such as step count and calories by linking this product with a smartphone app. LG Electronics will launch this product globally starting with the United States and Korea.
Furthermore, LG Electronics will showcase the 'Tone+ Active' entry-level model (HBS-A80) and 'Tone+ (HBS-820S)' equipped with one external speaker at 'IFA 2016'. LG Electronics newly unveils the 'Force (HBS-S80)', an ear-shaped Bluetooth headset where users wear earphones while wrapping their ears with a ring made of silicone material. This product is suitable for sports and outdoor activities as it does not detach even with vigorous movement.
The 'Beetle Mouse', a wireless mouse unveiled by LG Electronics at 'IFA 2016', adopts a distinctive design with a sliding cover form. Users can open the mouse cover to adjust the mouse with their hand, and when the cover is closed, it can be folded into a compact size. This product, which can also be used with mobile devices via Bluetooth, comes in five colors: gray, lime, indigo, mint, and pink.
Park Hyung-woo, Senior Executive of LG Electronics' IPD Business Division, stated, "The Bluetooth headset equipped with external stereo speakers will bring pleasant changes to consumers' lifestyles," and emphasized, "We will continue to lead the smart accessory market with innovative products."
