Launch of 3 Stylish and Even More Precise Stylus Models

Wacom unveiled consumer products, including two smartpads (Bamboo Slate and Bamboo Folio) and three styluses (Bamboo Solo, Bamboo Duo, and Bamboo Omni), at IFA, Europe's largest consumer electronics exhibition held in Berlin, Germany.

The Bamboo Slate and Bamboo Folio are smartpad products available in two sizes, characterized by their attractive and functional design. They include new features such as the Wacom Inkspace app and cloud services. Users can save their work as vector-format SVG files, as well as convert handwriting into digital text. By synchronizing ideas written on paper via the cloud from home, school, or work, users can continue working seamlessly in digital environments.

Bamboo Slate and Bamboo Folio seamlessly connect paper notebooks with digital life, linking smartphones, the cloud, and PCs.

The smartpad is based on Wacom's EMR (Electro Magnetic Resonance) pen technology and Wacom's digital inking technology, the WILL™ solution. Users can place their notebook or paper on the Bamboo Slate or Bamboo Folio, write handwriting or sketch ideas with a dedicated ballpoint pen, and then press a button to convert it into a digital file and save it to the Wacom Inkspace app.

When connected to cloud features, the Inkspace app offers additional paid services. Users can save sketches as SVG vector files and continue their creative work in creative software. It also supports a feature that converts handwriting into formatted text. The Inkspace app is provided for free by default, with additional features available for a fee.

The smartpad has been released in three versions. The Bamboo Slate is a slim smartpad available in small (A5) and large (A4) sizes, suitable for immediate idea generation, while the Bamboo Folio is offered only in a large (A4) model with a cover and a separate compartment for business cards and documents. Domestic sales are scheduled for this coming October, and the consumer price is yet to be determined.

In addition, new stylus models are also being introduced. There are a total of three models: Bamboo Omni , Bamboo Solo , and Bamboo Duo . The new stylus is an ergonomic and intuitive touch pen that enables easier navigation and idea sketching in digital environments.

The Bamboo Omni is a fine-tipped stylus suitable for fast note-taking, as well as enabling an intuitive experience in note-taking apps like Bamboo Paper. It can be used immediately without separate pairing and is compatible with iOS and Android touchscreen devices. Equipped with innovative RES (Reflective Electro Static) technology, this stylus charges via USB. It offers excellent writing feel and grip thanks to its highly durable 1.9 mm fine tip, ergonomic triangular design, and smooth surface finish made of premium materials. It is available in two colors: black and white.

The Bamboo Solo and Bamboo Duo also feature a triangular design with a smooth-touch surface. Both products are designed to be durable and leave no marks on touchscreens, while providing a more precise writing experience. The carbon fiber nibs are replaceable, and the Duo model is a 2-in-1 device equipped with a ballpoint pen on the opposite end of the stylus, allowing it to be used on both touchscreen devices and paper. The stylus is scheduled for domestic sale starting this October, with the price yet to be determined.
