Combination of Wacom Intuos Pen Tablet and Pixologic's ZBrushCore Software
The first full 3D solution for materializing digital design and characters

Wacom has unveiled the Intuos 3D, the first complete 3D solution.

This product provides all the necessary tools for three-dimensional design and printing work in PC or Mac environments. By showcasing pen tablet and display technology capable of 3D design and product modeling, Wacom is leading the way in enabling more people to engage in creative 3D art and design.

As the three-dimensional design and printing market grows rapidly, Wacom has launched the Intuos 3D to meet these market demands. Jeff Mandell, Vice President of Wacom Brand Business, stated: "Wacom has strived to provide a complete user experience across various fields, from ideation to practical creative work.

For years, professionals in the industrial, product, fashion, gaming, and design industries have used Wacom products for 3D work, and we believed it was time to share our expertise with creators who are beginning or interested in 3D work," he said.

Tom Kopinski, Team Lead of Wacom's Creative Market Strategy division, explained: "To showcase a complete 3D solution, Wacom has collaborated with industry leaders Pixologic®, Shapeways®, and Sketchfab® as well as hardware and software, 3D printing and publishing companies."

The Intuos 3D enables smooth and intuitive pen work together with Pixologic's ZBrushCore software. Pixologic is the developer of ZBrush software, which has been primarily used for 3D creative work in film and game studios over the years. The Intuos pen with wireless, battery-free pressure sensitivity delivers a natural and intuitive feel comparable to traditional brushes, markers, and ceramic tools when working with ZBrushCore.

Jaime Labelle, Chief Operating Officer of Pixologic, stated: "Through our collaboration with Wacom, we developed 3D design software optimized for the Intuos tablet to meet the needs of 3D creators," and added: "We look forward to seeing excellent creative works emerge from this partnership."

The Intuos 3D solution is easy to install and provides video tutorials for immediate use after purchase. The Intuos 3D consists of the Intuos 3D tablet body, a pen, and a downloadable Pixologic ZBrushCore software package. Domestic sales are scheduled for October, and the consumer price is to be determined.
