Wacom Announces Touch Pen Tablet with Skippable Scan Function
Published2017.01.05 16:59Wacom unveiled the Intuos Pro and Intuos Pro Paper Edition, which support both pen and touch functionality, at CES 2017 held in Las Vegas, USA.
The pen & touch tablet Intuos Pro family includes the Intuos Pro, Pro Pen 2, and Intuos Pro Paper Edition. These products emphasize the use of paper in the creative process.
The Intuos Pro Paper Edition is differentiated in that it integrates paper as one of the tools in the creative workflow. Additionally, work on paper can be saved in digital format without scanning and used for further work on the tablet. It includes all the features of the Intuos Pro, and is a model that adds features exclusive to the Paper Edition: Paper Clip for securing the user's preferred paper, a pressure-sensitive gel ink pen, and the Wacom Inkspace App. The Inkspace App allows users to save and share their work on Wacom Cloud.

The Intuos Pro is slimmer than previous models but provides the same size work area. It supports a touch ring and multi-touch functionality, eight customizable Express Keys, and can be connected to Mac and PC via Bluetooth.
The Pro Pen 2 is included with both Intuos Pro and Intuos Pro Paper Edition. It detects pressure with four times the sensitivity compared to the previous Pro Pen and offers greater precision. It supports 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity. Additionally, the Wacom Finetip Pen, provided exclusively with the Intuos Pro Paper Edition, features a smooth gel ink type. This pen writes on paper, and the Finetip automatically digitalizes sketches and other work.
The Intuos Pro and Intuos Pro Paper Edition are available in medium and large sizes, with domestic pricing and launch date to be determined.
