LG Uplus Provides Home IoT Service to Jeil Construction Apartments

LG Uplus will supply home IoT service to approximately 10,000 units of premium apartments developed by Jeil Construction, a general construction company.
LG Uplus held an IoT business agreement ceremony at its headquarters with employees from Jeil Construction, CVNet (a home network system developer), and Jenesis&Company (a home IoT device supplier) in attendance, and agreed to cooperate mutually in building a smart home platform within apartments.
According to the business agreement between the two companies, LG Uplus plans to establish home IoT service in 1,022 units of the premium apartment "Jeil Punggyeongchai" scheduled for sale in Pyeongtaek Godeok New Town in March, and announced plans to expand service provision to approximately 9,000 units of apartment complexes constructed and supplied by Jeil Construction in the future.

The service to be established is an integrated system that allows users to control both existing home networks and home IoT services through a single application. Residents can use the smartphone app (IoT@home) to control not only wired-based built-in systems such as installed lighting, heating/cooling, gas, and fire detection, but also individually purchased IoT home appliances from LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, and others through unified control.
LG Uplus's IoT-dedicated app "IoT@home" not only provides integrated control but also analyzes usage patterns of connected IoT appliances to guide optimized home appliance usage according to situations such as commuting, weekends, and travel. It also provides convenience by automatically executing device operations upon leaving home and returning home based on smartphone location information.
Through this agreement, LG Uplus and CVNet will jointly undertake the construction and maintenance of the integrated IoT system, while Jenesis&Company will supply various IoT devices that improve the living convenience of residents.

LG Uplus Expands LTE-Based Wi-Fi Service in Subways
