Customers can now purchase directly from the manufacturer through Microchip Direct

Microchip Technology announced that it will supply all former Atmel products through Microchip Direct, its full-service channel. Customers can now purchase AVR and SAM microcontrollers and development tools directly from the manufacturer.



This service provides pricing information for all quantities and allows advance orders up to 12 months in advance. Additionally, customers can use various payment options including order history tracking, buffer inventory support, and credit transactions.

As a manufacturer-to-customer website, Microchip Direct enables customers not only to upload custom code on microcontrollers and memory devices, but also supports 10 languages worldwide.

Mitch Little, Vice President of Global Sales at Microchip, stated "We are most focused on supplying all Microchip products through Microchip Direct," and added "We are pleased to expand this service to our extended product line."
