After the official launch on the 27th, offline stores will begin selling the product in early March.

SK Telecom is introducing a character feature phone, the 'Hello Kitty Phone'.

As a limited-edition product, pre-orders will begin on the 24th at SK Telecom's official online mall, T World Direct, and after the official launch on the 27th, offline store sales will begin in early March.



This character feature phone features an exterior design and UX inspired by the popular character "Hello Kitty." Its lightweight 74g and compact size, measuring 58mm wide and 77mm tall, make it comfortable to hold in one hand. Furthermore, battery life tests showed a standby time of 14.9 days and a talk time of 5.4 hours.

The Hello Kitty phone comes with a neckband that is designed to automatically release when 2kg of force is applied to the device.

SK Telecom developed the device based on the one released in Japan last year. Additional development efforts included implementing a feature that automatically sends the phone's location to six pre-designated contacts by holding down the "0" keypad button, redesigning the antenna to achieve Level 1 SAR approval, and adapting a user experience (UX) and keypad design familiar to domestic feature phone users.

Kim Seong-su, head of SK Telecom's Smart Device Division, said, "This year, we will continue to discover and introduce niche products that reflect customers' hidden needs."
