LG U+ Launches All-in-One Soundbar That Supports YouTube Viewing

LG U+ announced the launch of 'U+ tv soundbar,' an all-in-one set-top box that delivers clear and distinct audio and allows users to enjoy YouTube videos in high-quality 4K UHD.
LG U+ stated that the U+ tv soundbar excels in playing broadcast and music content with clearer and more distinct sound. The company added that it is equipped with a 'tweeter,' a speaker unit specialized for high-frequency reproduction.
Additionally, whereas existing set-top boxes required users to manually configure audio modes, the U+ tv soundbar now enables automatic setting through Adaptive Sound Control (ASC) technology.
The U+ tv soundbar is equipped with a high-quality dedicated chipset (Digital to Analog Converter) applied to LG Electronics' G5, V20, and G6 models, supporting ultra-high quality audio (24bit/192kHz). High-spec audio sources can be played without loss, delivering sound close to the original.
When the U+ tv soundbar's USB is connected to the set-top box, it automatically launches the 'U+ tv High-Quality Player,' allowing easy listening.
The U+ tv soundbar supports ultra-high definition not only in audio but also in video. Clear and distinct 4K UHD video playback (3840X2160) is possible not only for live broadcasts and VOD but also when viewing YouTube content. As the first among the three major telecommunications carriers to support YouTube 4K UHD functionality, users can enjoy YouTube content on large TVs rather than just on smartphones.
Additionally, users can connect a smartphone via Bluetooth to use it as a Bluetooth speaker, and with Google Cast, apps used on smartphones can be enjoyed on TV with a single touch.
The U+ tv soundbar features a slim design measuring 106cm in width, 13.8cm in depth, and 6cm in height, and can be installed as a wall-mounted unit.

LG U+ Home IoT System to be Installed in Airline Employee Cooperative Apartment LG U+ announced on the 27th that it will establish a Home IoT system in 10,000 units of apartments being constructed and supplied by SkyTown Housing Cooperative, which is primarily composed of airline and airport corporation employees, in Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi Province. LG U+ signed a business agreement with Cheongil Construction, SkyTown Housing Cooperative, and CV Net, a home network system developer. The company plans to first supply the Home IoT system to 3,857 units including 1,600 units across 16 buildings of Gimpo Sau SkyTown located in Sau-dong and Gamjeong-dong in Gimpo-si, and 2,257 units of 'Gimpo Hangang SkyTown'. Subsequently, LG U+'s IoT system will be established in an additional approximately 6,100 units including 'Incheon Bullo SkyTown' to be constructed in this area.
