SK TechX Establishes Stable VDI Environment by Adopting Nutanix Solution

Nutanix Korea announced that SK TechX has established a fast, stable, and secure VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) work environment by adopting Nutanix Enterprise Cloud solutions.
SK TechX is a company that supports the development and operation of ICT services and platforms, and it sought to improve the existing SAN-based virtualization environment.
SK TechX adopted the Nutanix NX-3000 series after a testing and review process to build a VDI environment based on Nutanix AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor). By separating work environments according to business objectives, it is possible to develop security-critical services or securely control key corporate data. Everyday business applications such as email, ERP, and intranet also run fast and securely.
In addition, it provides non-disruptive upgrades for storage controllers, hypervisors, and firmware without downtime or failures caused by expansion and upgrades, and allows infrastructure to be scaled at the node level, ensuring usability even as the number of users increases.
In addition, it is designed to minimize disk I/O by caching the operating system (OS) image during virtual machine booting, as well as implementing Data Locality, which prioritizes storing virtual machine (VM) data on the running node, thereby eliminating Boot Storms and improving performance through Auto Tiering.
We secured high availability in the VDI environment by configuring node/block redundancy, and enhanced the ease of operation and management of the virtual environment through Nutanix Prism, a single tool that enables easy and convenient management of servers, storage, and virtualization.
An official from SK TechX stated, “We selected Nutanix to implement a VDI infrastructure that satisfies performance, stability, and ease of management. Based on an efficient infrastructure that not only effectively supports various types of VMs but also reduces TCO, we will provide customers with a more convenient and happier ICT lifestyle.”

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
