MathWorks Announces Release 2017a of MATLAB and Simulink Product Family
Published2017.03.10 11:48MathWorks has announced Release 2017a (hereinafter R2017a) of MATLAB and Simulink, which includes a variety of new features.
R2017a also includes the Automated Driving System Toolbox, a new product for designing, simulating, and testing advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving systems. Additionally, updates and bug fixes for 86 products are included.
The MATLAB product family has been updated with MATLAB, Econometrics Toolbox, Neural Network Toolbox, MATLAB Production Server, Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox, Computer Vision System Toolbox, and Automated Driving System Toolbox. In addition, the Simulink product family, signal processing and communications, code generation, verification and validation, and others have also been updated.

MathWorks Joins the Intelligent Model Car Competition as an Official Sponsor
MathWorks (kr.mathworks.com) announced today that it participated as the official sponsor of the '2016 Intelligent Model Car Competition' held at Hanyang University Olympic Gymnasium, hosted by Hanyang University's Future Automotive Engineering Department. The Intelligent Model Car Competition is an annual event held since 2003 to spark students' interest in embedded control system design, a core technology of smart cars, and to cultivate talent in related fields. Around 100 teams from universities nationwide compete using futuristic model cars that they have designed and manufactured over several months. MathWorks provided various toolboxes including MATLAB and Simulink, which are optimal embedded control system solutions applicable to the model car manufacturing process, free of charge for this competition.

TI Unveils Multi-Axis Coreless Current Sensor TMCS2100-Q1 for HEV/EV Traction Inverters
Texas Instruments has unveiled the TMCS2100-Q1, a multi-axis coreless Hall-effect current sensor for HEV and EV traction inverters. By simultaneously measuring horizontal and vertical magnetic fields through multi-axis sensing technology, it achieves up to 20 times higher accuracy compared to conventional single-axis sensors, while the busbar-unmodified design provides mechanical design flexibility. It simultaneously meets the high-accuracy requirements and miniaturization driven by the expansion of 800V architectures.
