Internal Waterproofing of Connector Protects Against Water and Dust
Improved Quality Reliability at Economical Price

Korean Molex has unveiled the ValuSeal wire-to-wire connector system, which offers cost-effective and high-reliability waterproof performance.

ValuSeal is an IP-65 rated waterproof system connected via wire and ring, capable of supplying up to 11.0A of power, making it suitable for consumer appliances, transportation, and lighting applications.

The ValuSeal wire-to-wire connector system provides protection against water and dust by implementing waterproof treatment inside the connector. The 'crimp-and-fork' insertion structure simplifies wire assembly, further contributing to cost reduction. Meanwhile, the 'wire strain-relief' structure integrated into the connector body prevents leakage phenomena that frequently occur in other connector systems.



Michael Gonzalez, Global Product Manager at Molex, stated, "Many OEM companies have experienced product malfunction and failure in rough and humid environments by choosing non-waterproof connectors instead of expensive IP-67 rated connectors." He continued, "This innovative single-structure product provides waterproof connection functionality at a revolutionary economical price, enabling OEMs to improve the quality and reliability of their end products at lower costs."

The compact 4.00mm pitch of this product offers design flexibility in space-constrained applications. Currently, the 2-circuit type connector is available for order, and the 4-circuit type is scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2017 and beyond.
