By linking with artificial intelligence (AI), the application base has become specific and detailed enough to be immediately implemented in real-life situations. This trend is expected to impact even the network attached storage (NAS) sector, leading to increased productivity.

QNAP exhibited at the Hannover CeBIT trade fair under the theme, "Presenting QIoT Solutions at the Heart of the Internet of Things." While NAS devices have traditionally been used for limited purposes, such as data storage, protection, sharing, and task assistance in homes and businesses, QNAP at CeBIT sought to transform them into core solutions that boost corporate productivity. Key solutions include a Thunderbolt 3 interface-based NAS product line, QBoat (QTS IoT Server) and NAS with optical disc support, enterprise storage with high availability and Blu-ray disc data archiving, and intelligent service automation and multimedia apps that combine the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI). Storage solutions in collaboration with ABUS, Panasonic, Seagate, and WD were also unveiled.

QNAP's smart home, QIoT Suite Lite solution is the key

At the heart of QNAP's smart home is its QIoT Suite Lite solution. For example, when a CCTV or fire detector connected to a QNAP NAS detects a flame, a fire alarm sounds. QIoT Suite Lite is the foundation for monitoring and analyzing this activity.
