IBM Cloud's Tesla P100-based service launching at the end of this month expands the scale and scope of GPU computing platform-based cloud services. These services improve fraud detection and prevention, genome research for disease treatment, and inventory management. They have brought about changes such as eliminating millions of tons of waste emissions and automating dangerous production operations that would otherwise require direct human involvement.
The new cloud service will enable multiple institutions to quickly access Tesla P100, and is expected to enable application testing and deployment that can solve problems previously left unresolved.
IBM Cloud customers can build individual IBM Bluemix bare metal servers equipped with two Nvidia Tesla P100 data center GPUs. GPU-accelerated cloud SMS delivers the performance of up to 25 non-accelerated servers, reducing costs associated with HPC and AI workloads.
IBM Cloud customers can leverage Nvidia's GPU platform with ▲core deep learning frameworks featuring GPU acceleration ▲top 10 high-performance computing applications ▲over 400 HPC applications, simultaneously reducing the time and cost required to deliver results.
Nvidia is collaborating with IBM and other cloud providers to enable more developers to leverage Nvidia's latest technologies faster, and is providing continuous support to realize the AI era that will bring benefits to all humanity more quickly.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
