The Korea Semiconductor Industry Association held a semiconductor technology seminar on the 7th at the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association headquarters in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province, targeting 68 students from the Department of Electronics Engineering at Santo Tomas University in the Philippines.

Santo Tomas University, one of the Philippines' four prestigious universities, is the oldest existing university in Asia with a history of 406 years. A total of 68 students from Santo Tomas University's Department of Electronics Engineering attended the seminar that day.

Santo Tomas University had requested a seminar on MEMS and NEMS (nano-precision control technology), cutting-edge fine structure fabrication technology among various semiconductor technology fields. In response, the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association invited Professor Kim Do-hyun from Myongji University to introduce Korea's semiconductor fine-process technology that has overcome countless challenges.

Nam Ki-man, Executive Vice President of the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, stated, "We are realizing our status as a memory semiconductor powerhouse," and added, "As a semiconductor leader, we plan to gradually expand such educational services for developing countries."
