Telit, Asset Gateway Software Certified by Cisco
Published2017.04.11 11:17Telit announced that its deviceWISE asset gateway software has completed certification on Cisco's IOx edge computing gateway.
Telit's deviceWISE asset gateway, which has obtained certification for Cisco's Industrial Integrated Services Router (ISR809/829) and Ethernet Series Switch (IE4000), can be utilized as an industrial IoT solution as an integrated cloud-ready solution.
The integrated appliance from both companies provides edge intelligence for industrial asset management, condition-based monitoring, predictive maintenance, and various mission-critical IoT applications. The gateway can be used in conjunction with Telit IoT Portal, an enterprise-level cloud service, and supports real-time remote monitoring and control as well as predictive maintenance capabilities.
Using a PaaS structure, customers pay only for what they use, reducing costs while enabling them to start without upfront investment, lowering the barrier to entry for complex solutions. By providing intuitive click-based tools, development time and costs can be reduced without custom development, eliminating risks and complexity.
IoT services based on deviceWISE are provided through IoT services of major MNO operators, and for enterprise customers, on-premises deployment through SAP is supported.
Vikas Butani, Senior Director of IoT Connectivity at Cisco, said, "Through cooperation with Telit, we expect that various use cases of connected machines will emerge by supporting optimal IoT gateways."

Cisco Builds Cloud Infrastructure at Hanyang University
Cisco Korea announced that Hanyang University has deployed Cisco UCS server-based HyperFlex at the 'Hanyang Cloud Center'. The Hanyang Cloud Center was designed to implement Software Defined Networking (SDN) in response to rapidly changing environments. Cisco's x86 servers, network, and security solutions were applied, and the core and regional backbone networks were enhanced through Cisco Nexus 7000 and 9000, while server virtualization was implemented with Cisco UCS and HyperFlex. Cisco HyperFlex, a hyperconverged solution, was deployed.

Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
