LG U+ Launches U+Pad8 – "Lowest Price, Ultra-Lightweight, Full HD-class"
Published2017.04.11 20:19The U+Pad features a weight of 8,350g and is built on a MediaTek MT8783 octa-core CPU (1.3GHz) with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage capacity. With a 16:10 screen aspect ratio, it enhances convenience for viewing video content such as online lectures and movies.
The ex-factory price is 242,000 won (including VAT), a strategy to enhance value for money.
Storage capacity can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card, and with the addition of Bluetooth 4.0, location-based sensor (GPS), and a 5-megapixel camera, the tablet PC's inherent functionality and practicality have been enhanced.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
