Telit announced the completion of its 100th installation of secureWISE, its IoT factory software platform for access control and data management, in 300mm semiconductor manufacturing plants worldwide.

Telit secureWISE, as part of the company's IoT factory solution, has provided secure remote IoT connectivity to tool manufacturers (OEMs) in the semiconductor industry over the past 12 years. Telit's IoT factory solution, which supports smart factory implementation, is one of the core IoT businesses based on the company's vision of connected production facilities (factories), connected machines, and connected consumers.

Telit's secureWISE is recognized as a solution that provides highly secure remote access to semiconductor equipment. The software has been adopted by 18 out of the top 20 OEMs, and is used by all major integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) and foundries to securely connect with over 250 different tool manufacturers.



secureWISE, which connects the largest number of fabs and OEMs in the industry, provides secure and configurable end-to-end remote IoT connectivity through closed networks and private networks. Through this software, fabs and OEMs can perform remote collaboration in a manner that enhances equipment performance at every stage of the process and lifecycle while protecting valuable intellectual property (IP).

Major OEM companies have embedded high-availability service models in machines and installed them in fabs. Now, by using IoT to collect data remotely, it is possible not only to analyze and remediate issues occurring in machinery at semiconductor production sites from anywhere in the world, but also to predict them. Additionally, subject-matter experts are available by topic to provide immediate technical support to the respective fab.

Telit's secureWISE eCentre server provides fabs with complete control over when, which tools, and how they can be accessed, preventing OEMs from unauthorized direct access to production tools. Through this built-in role-based access capability, fabs receive comprehensive reports and business analytics on all activities, enabling detailed audit trails.
