Recognized as an excellent export/import safety management company
Compliance with laws, internal control systems, and safety management standards

Korea Molex announced that it has been recognized as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) with excellent export and import safety management and has been officially awarded an AEO certification by the Korea Customs Service.

By obtaining AEO certification from the Korea Customs Service, Korea Molex will receive 28 customs clearance benefits, including omission or reduced scope of inspection of imported goods and exemption from advance tax assessment.



Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) is a concept developed by the World Customs Organization (WCO) to harmonize trade security and facilitation. Based on export and import supply chain security management standards, customs authorities in each country certify companies that meet these standards through review of legal compliance, internal control systems, safety management standards, and financial soundness.

Lee Jae-hoon, CEO of Molex Korea, said, “We have proven that our own legal compliance and internal safety management system are being thoroughly implemented as not a single error has occurred in the items related to the pre-screening of customs legality, which is a new official standard for 2017.” He added, “As we have been recognized for the safety and reliability of international import and export operations through AEO certification, we will continue to strive to supply goods to our customers more safely and quickly in the future.”
