Exax to produce OCA as an alternative to optical clear adhesive

Exax has added optical clear adhesive film (OCA) to its product portfolio as a replacement for its existing optical clear adhesive (OCR) product.
This product recently began mass production at the OCA (Optical Clear Adhesive) production line in the Cheongsan Industrial Complex in Okcheon, Chungcheongbuk-do, and has completed its first shipment.
OCA has a market size of approximately 800 billion worldwide. It is a key material for bonding 'TSP (Touch Screen Panel) and display' and 'display and cover window'.
Iggax's strategy is to expand its business to the OCA field with UV resin and OCR (Optical Clear Resin) products, which are moisture-proof adhesives that prevent adhesion between LCD panels and driving FPCBs and electrode corrosion.
A company official said, "Demand for flexible displays has been increasing recently, and OCA is a key material for this, and its market size is expected to grow further in the future." He added, "We will do our best to ensure that the OCA business sector can establish itself as a new growth engine for the company."
Meanwhile, Iggax plans to develop into a specialized adhesive resin and film company by also pursuing smartphone window deco film (WDF: Window Deco Film) and protective film businesses.

Let's prepare for next-generation OLED lighting technology by fostering specialized talent.
How far has OLED lighting technology, referred to as next-generation lighting, come? An opportunity to examine everything from its fundamental concepts to core technologies has been prepared. OLED lighting is characterized by a long lifespan, low power consumption, and minimal heat generation, making it environmentally friendly. As it emits light in a planar manner, it is evaluated as a light source comparable to natural sunlight. With its flexibility and ability to be made transparent, its applications in lighting design are extensive. This seminar is planned as part of the OLED Lighting Cluster Development Project led by the Korea Optical Industry Promotion Association, with the goal of cultivating specialized personnel in OLED lighting. This year marks the third session, with the first and second sessions held in regional areas. To facilitate participation from the Seoul metropolitan area, Korea University was selected as the educational institution to host this session.
