SK TechX announced that it has established a fast, stable, and secure VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) work environment by introducing Nutanix Enterprise Cloud solution.

After a testing and review process, SK TechX adopted the Nutanix NX-3000 series and established a VDI environment based on the Nutanix AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor). This allowed them to separate work environments based on business objectives, develop security-critical services, and operate key corporate data in a more secure and controllable environment. Furthermore, everyday business applications such as email, ERP, and intranet now operate quickly and securely.

Furthermore, business continuity is ensured without disruption caused by downtime or compatibility issues associated with expansion and upgrades. Nutanix Enterprise Cloud solutions provide non-disruptive upgrades for storage controllers, hypervisors, and firmware, and support node-level infrastructure expansion, enabling enterprises to scale their infrastructure without disruption even as users increase.

In addition, it is designed to minimize disk I/O by caching the image of the operating system (OS) when booting the virtual machine, eliminating boot storms, and further improving performance through auto tiering, as well as data locality, which prioritizes storing the data of the virtual machine (hereinafter referred to as VM) on the node in which it is running. Employees maintain a high user experience and stability in a VDI environment without any performance differences compared to existing physical methods.

Additionally, we secured high availability of the VDI environment by configuring node/block duplication, and improved the ease of operation and management of the virtual environment through Nutanix Prism, a single tool that allows for easy and convenient management of servers, storage, and virtualization.
