PTC Provides Smart Connected Environment by Adding Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence to IoT

PTC has unveiled the latest solutions for development, construction, and service in the Internet of Things environment. The company provides a smart connected environment that combines augmented reality and artificial intelligence with IoT.
PTC held the IoT conference 'LiveWorx' in Boston, USA, and announced this strategy. PTC LiveWorx is an annual event that diagnoses the current state of technology for a smart connected world and introduces prospects on how it will evolve and develop in the future.
The event covers seven themes: ▲IoT ▲AR/VR ▲Robotics & Autonomous Driving ▲Product Design ▲Business Process ▲Smart Manufacturing ▲Service, and shares innovation cases according to each industry's business objectives while introducing related products and technologies.
At this event, PTC announced ThingWorx 8, the latest version of its IoT platform. ThingWorx is a software platform that enables enterprises to develop applications easily and quickly in a complex and rapidly changing IoT environment.
Enterprises can rapidly develop Industrial IoT applications and leverage cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) experiences based on ThingWorx 8's functionality, flexibility, and agility. Additionally, it provides benefits such as industrial connectivity, analytics, application services, orchestration, and code-free AR experience creation.
Kathleen Mitford, Senior Vice President overseeing PTC's product and market strategy, stated, "We have released ThingWorx 8, the most comprehensive and effective platform in history for enterprises seeking to rapidly leverage the value of IoT in industrial environments. ThingWorx 8 is designed to enable companies to quickly materialize their IoT investments by adding new role-based applications alongside core platform capabilities."
ThingWorx 8 strengthens platform capabilities such as industrial connectivity, anomaly detection, and in-depth cloud support for cloud providers, while particularly adding new features necessary for easily, quickly, and scalably developing, building, and expanding Industrial IoT applications.
Additionally, it provides the capability to build AR for Microsoft HoloLens through ThingWorx Studio. ThingWorx Studio enables content creators to rapidly build, deploy, and deliver AR experiences through a code-free environment.

Kinex, a role-based application, helps users secure the information and insights necessary for optimal decision-making and performance improvement by integrating data from enterprise systems with physical field data. Built on PTC's IoT platform ThingWorx, Kinex applications transform the way products are designed, manufactured, and serviced, as well as the user experience with the products. The first new product under the Kinex brand is the Kinex™ Navigate™ application, which has rapidly gained adoption since its initial launch and has sold approximately 125,000 copies to date. Kinex Navigate provides enterprise users with a simple role-based interface that enables them to access and utilize product data across various systems.

Ecolab and K-water Discuss Innovation Collaboration in Advanced Industry Water Management

H.Energy Obtains Green Technology Certification…SolarOnCare Operating at 99.82% Uptime
H.Energy has obtained green technology certification from the Small and Medium Business Administration for solar power generation forecasting and I-V curve anomaly diagnosis technology. The AI-based asset management platform SolarOnCare is deployed across more than 3,000 power plants nationwide, achieving a system uptime of 99.82% and a 3.7% improvement in power generation performance. Through real-time data analysis, it protects power generation revenue by detecting and managing minor losses such as module degradation and partial shading early on.

Samsung Electronics Establishes Domestic Production of EHS Heat Pump Boilers in Gwangju…Annual Production Capacity of 100,000 Units
Samsung Electronics is establishing a domestic production system for EHS heat pump boilers at its Gwangju business site in line with the promotion of heating electrification. The company will begin trial production this month on a dedicated line spanning 2,132㎡ and is scheduled to commence full-scale mass production by the end of September, with annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 units. This product generates approximately 5 times the heat relative to input power, recording a seasonal performance coefficient of 4.9, and offers higher energy efficiency compared to fossil fuel-based boilers while reducing carbon emissions.
