Teradata Presents Analytics Portfolio for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era

Teradata Korea has outlined major trends and challenges of the "Fourth Industrial Revolution Era based on data analytics," and presented ways for enterprises to realize business potential and maximize value through data and analytics.
David Socha, Practice Partner of Teradata's Industrial IoT Consultant Team visiting Korea, explained: "Digital transformation is currently underway or beginning across all industries globally. Based on IoT, traditional manufacturing companies are transforming into service companies, and Smart Cities are completely changing citizens' lives by combining energy, weather, public and civic data with transportation data. As an example, Siemens high-speed trains, based on IoT technology, achieved remarkable results with only one delay of approximately 5 minutes out of over 2,000 operations (during a 3-hour journey)."
He added: "Through such digital transformation, enterprises can create new business models, new revenue streams, new interactions, new operational methods, and even new ways to maintain their current status. Precision agriculture, connected cars, digital manufacturing, smart system transformation, Manufacturing 4.0, medical robots, smart cities, models charging service fees based on engine usage hours (power by the hour), and software-based services fall into this category." He further explained: "However, to practically utilize IoT, AoT (Analytics of Things) must necessarily accompany it. IoT holds true significance only when various data generated from numerous sensors and assets in the field can be collected in real-time, and customized analytics necessary for decision-making can be executed to secure new insights."

Highly likely that the group behind the WannaCry ransomware attack is the same one that attacked Sony Pictures
Recently, claims have been raised that the "WannaCry ransomware" spreading globally has a high correlation with the Lazarus group, a cyber attack collective. Symantec (www.symantec.co.kr) conducted a thorough investigation and found that the tools and infrastructure used in the WannaCry ransomware (Ransom.Wannacry) attacks are substantially similar to the techniques employed by the Lazarus group, which was responsible for the Sony Pictures hacking and the theft of $81 million from the Bangladesh Central Bank. Based on this finding, Symantec is confident that the attacks were carried out by the same group and analyzed that there is a high likelihood that the Lazarus group is behind the WannaCry attacks.

SalePoint Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement with AWS… Promoting Identity Security that Integrates Even AI Agents

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
