Semiconductor IR Conference to be held in Yeouido on the 30th
Participation of unlisted semiconductor companies and many investors

Promising domestic semiconductor companies, including SMEs, ventures, startups, and mid-sized companies, along with investors, will gather in one place. The Korea Semiconductor Industry Association (Chairman Park Sung-wook) announced on the 30th that it will hold the "2017 Semiconductor IR Conference" at the Financial Investment Education Center in Yeouido, Seoul, with the participation of 20 domestic semiconductor companies (10 unlisted, 1 KONEX-listed, and 9 listed) to identify blue chips for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The Semiconductor IR Conference was designed to showcase the potential of participating companies and foster networking and communication with investors. Key attendees include venture capitalists (VCs), new technology financial investors, private equity funds (PEFs), accelerators, fund managers, and analysts.

With the full-blown arrival of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the semiconductor industry is experiencing significant growth. This is because the production of diverse system semiconductors is essential in this era, driven by the Internet of Things (IoT), autonomous vehicles, and artificial intelligence (AI). System semiconductors are a field that demands advanced semiconductor design capabilities. Accordingly, it is expected that small and medium-sized enterprises, venture companies, and startups will make great strides in fields such as semiconductor design, materials, components, equipment, sensors, and embedded software.

The unlisted participating companies are Device Engineering (CEO Choi Bong-jin), Justem (CEO Lim Young-jin), Teams (CEO Jeong Seong-jin), Power Voice (CEO Jeong Hee-seok), Fine Solution (CEO Park Hee-won), TGiotech (CEO Jang Taek-yong), Pescaro (CEO Hong Seok-min), EWBM (CEO Oh Sang-geun), Haptricks (CEO Seo Young-ho), and Hicks Company (CEO Lee Seon-oh), a total of 10 companies. The Connex company participating is Laontech (CEO Kim Won-kyung).

The nine companies participating in the listed company group are Samsung Electronics (CEO Kwon Oh-hyun), SK Hynix (CEO Park Sung-wook), AP Systems (CEO Kim Young-joo), Wonik IPS (CEO Lee Hyun-deok), Unitron Tech (CEO Nam Goong-seon), TES (CEO Joo Sung-il), SK Materials (CEO Lim Min-gyu), Deoksan Neolux (CEO Lee Jun-ho), and TLI (CEO Kim Dal-soo). The listed companies will not participate in corporate briefings, but only in individual investor meetings.

Nam Ki-man, executive vice president of the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, said, “The Semiconductor IR Conference is a meaningful event designed to revitalize the domestic semiconductor industry ecosystem through win-win cooperation between large and small businesses.” He added, “I hope that this will be an opportunity for semiconductor SMEs and startups with strong technological prowess to add marketability to their technologies by meeting with investors.”
