According to a 2016 Global Industry 4.0 survey conducted by PWC, digitalization of existing product portfolios and adoption of new digital product portfolios are key initiatives that companies seek to implement in the future to improve production efficiency.
Key features of the smart switch (SDS-3008) include ▲support for three protocols in a single device ▲a thickness of only 2cm with DIN-rail and rack mounting options ▲a single-page dashboard.

ATEN Korea Announces 4K Modular Matrix Switch VM3200
ATEN Korea announced the launch of the VM3200 matrix switch, a solution capable of connecting up to 32 video sources to 32 displays in environments where video processing is critical, such as broadcasting stations, transportation/traffic control centers, surveillance and CCTV operations. The ATEN VM3200 features ATEN's proprietary modular architecture design, allowing the system to be optimized for various video environments, and can transmit video sources up to 4K resolution without signal loss. It incorporates a built-in seamless switch that enables fast screen transition times, allowing video and audio signals to be independently switched and routed to monitors, displays, and projectors without interruption. The product also includes EDID mode options that can output the best resolution even to different monitors, and is characterized by the highest performance and expandability currently available. In particular, the ATEN VM3200's modular design enables all options to be implemented via hot-swap, allowing for quick and convenient addition or expansion of various equipment in actual operational environments. No additional tools are required when adding I/O boards, and product maintenance is also straightforward, ultimately resulting in cost savings. Additionally, the system supports automatic signal conversion and ensures a variety of digital video interface combinations including HDBaseaT (VM7514 / VM8514), HDMI (VM7804 / VM8804), DVI (VM7604 / VM8604), 3G-SDI (VM7404), and VGA (VM7104). Primary application environments include broadcasting stations, transportation/traffic control centers, and emergency service centers where high-speed A/V signal routing is required. Operational convenience is also distinctive. Users can use the system's front push buttons to independently switch and route video and audio content to various monitors, displays, projectors, and speakers. The system also supports system management via RS-232, RS-485/422, and Ethernet (Telnet/web GUI) connections. In addition, one of the improved features considering administrator convenience on the VM3200 is screen streaming support, which enables preview of connected local source video in the web GUI. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
