Gibson Innovations Launches Speaker for Home Cinema Sound
Published2017.06.21 14:46Gibson Innovations announced the launch of the 'Philips Fidelio B1 Nano Cinema Speaker (hereinafter Philips Fidelio B1)' for your own movie theater.
This is a sound system that provides a theater-like immersive experience for single life or at home, filling the gap in sound quality caused by spatial limitations.
Simple setup that preserves sound quality and a slim, black-based design that matches modern styles resolve the space constraints and installation inconveniences associated with conventional multi-channel speakers. This allows for quick and easy installation in any home, as well as convenient use via wireless connectivity. Furthermore, powerful and realistic sound enables immersive video and movie experiences.
The Philips Fidelio B1 is equipped with MicroBeam technology. In a compact size of 41cm wide and 5.4cm tall, four full-range speakers and two tweeters envelop the body, delivering precise yet clear sound quality to the entire space. MicroBeam-based sound provides a wide sweet spot, producing dynamic yet clean audio, and as a home theater speaker, it offers the feeling of being in a movie theater.
Two tweeter wave guides located at the top inside provide hi-fi quality audio. The dome tweeter, powered by Philips' proprietary tuning technology, delivers smooth sound based on neodymium magnets. The 18 holes within the waveguide function as a single tweeter to deliver clear high frequencies.
With a compact 86mm thickness and wireless connectivity, it can be installed without being restricted by cables. Despite its small size, it delivers richer bass thanks to two bass pipes tuned to different frequencies. Furthermore, the Philips Fidelio B1 reproduces deep and powerful bass with a slim and compact 200W output subwoofer.
"The Philips Fidelio B1 is the perfect product for customers who have been unable to fully enjoy 5.1 channel sound due to spatial constraints or interior limitations," a Gibson Innovations official stated. "It will be an excellent choice for enjoying sound without installation restrictions." Meanwhile, the launch price of the Philips Fidelio B1 is 799,000 won.

LG전자는 브랜드 인지도를 높이는 데도 주력했다. 지난해 세계적인 그라피티(Graffiti) 아티스트 ‘존원(JonOne)’, 인기 걸그룹 ‘트와이스’ 등과 함께 ‘존원 아트 시리즈’, ‘트와이스 스피커’ 등 개성 있는 포터블 스피커를 출시해 인기를 끌었다. (왼쪽부터 PH1, PH2, PH3, PH4) LG전자는 봄나들이 철을 맞아, 야외 활동에 특화한 포터블 스피커도 판매가 더욱 늘어날 것으로 기대하고 있다. ‘액티브(모델명: PH4)’는 풍부한 중저음을 내는 패시브 라디에이터를 2개 탑재해 캠핑, 소풍 등 야외 활동에 적합하다. 배터리는 최대 10시간 사용할 수 있고 생활 방수 기능을 갖췄다. ‘쿠키(모델명: PH2)’는 167g으로 운동, 레포츠 등 야외 활동에 특화한 제품이다. 스트랩이 있어 옷, 배낭, 자전거 등에 고정할 수 있다. 생활 방수 기능과 제품 테두리를 따라 배치된 LED 조명은 야간 운동 시에 안전 사고를 예방해준다. LG전자 한국영업본부 HE마케팅FD 손대기 담당은 “소비자들이 원하는 기능을 적용한 제품들로 포터블 스피커 시장을 지속 공략할 것”이라고 강조했다.
