The 'Nano Korea 2017 Industrialization Special Session' will be held on July 13th with the theme of 'Current Status and Prospects of Nanotechnology Commercialization in the Automotive Industry (Nanotech in Automotive Industry)'.

At the event, Lee Jong-guk, team leader of the New Materials Research Team at Hyundai Motor Company, will present on the topic of “Automobile Industry and Nanotechnology,” and Lee Hyeong-ui, research fellow at LG Innotek, will present on “Nano Technologies in LG Innotek.” Kim Nam-hyung, head of the Lightweight Composite Materials (Automobile) Research Institute at Hanwha Advanced Materials, will present on “Current Status of Development of Hanwha Advanced Materials’ Automotive Composite Materials,” and Dr. Shin Jae-gon of the Autonomous Vehicle Center at the Korea Transportation Safety Authority’s Automobile Safety Research Institute will present on the topic of “Autonomous Vehicle Technology and Nanotechnology.”

An official from the Nano Korea Organizing Committee said, “We expect that nanotechnology, which offers innovative performance, excellent price competitiveness, and guaranteed safety, will open a new paradigm for the automobile industry.”

'Nano Korea 2017' will be held for three days from July 12th (Wed) to 14th (Fri) at Halls 7 and 8 of KINTEX 2 Exhibition Center in Ilsan, Goyang-si. A total of 6 exhibitions including nanotechnology, micro-nano systems, laser technology, advanced ceramics, smart sensors, and high-performance materials will be held with 350 companies (pavilions) from 12 countries in 550 booths.
