Healthcare wearable devices often involve smartwatches or smartbands used to monitor health information and aid exercise. In the wearable device market, which is increasingly expanding into the medical field, one company has developed a device that aids rehabilitation training.

Founded in 2010, Neofect (www.neofect.com) has been developing rehabilitation hardware devices and reusable game software. This year, it won its first CES Innovation Award for its homecare rehabilitation service.

Located in the Global Industry-Academic Cooperation Center on Dankook University's Jukjeon Campus, the experience center features not only the smart gloves but also the "Raphael Smart Kids" for children and the "Raphael Smart Board," which can be used for upper extremity rehabilitation, including shoulder and elbow rehabilitation.
