LG Starts Premium TV Discount Event
Published2017.07.04 16:05LG Electronics is holding a discount event for popular premium TV products at stores nationwide until the end of this month.
An official from LG Electronics stated, "As demand for OLED TVs and large LCD TVs increases, we are providing customers with the opportunity to purchase premium TVs at reasonable prices." The company plans to further strengthen its dominance in the premium TV market through this discount event.
LG Electronics is selling the 55-inch 'LG OLED TV' for 3.19 million won. It is also selling the 65-inch 'LG Super Ultra HD TV,' a premium LCD TV also known as the 'NanoCell TV,' for 3.2 million won.
Various free gifts are also provided when purchasing a large TV. LG Electronics is giving away a 43-inch LCD TV to customers who purchase a 65-inch OLED TV. In addition, customers who purchase large LCD TVs, such as 75-inch and 86-inch models, will receive an 'LG MiniBeam TV'. Customers can even set up a second TV to watch in the master bedroom or other areas all at once.
LG Electronics is giving away an 'LG Sound Bar' that allows customers to enjoy rich sound to all customers who purchase an 'LG Super Ultra HD TV' 55 inches or larger.
Son Dae-gi, Head of LG Electronics Korea HE Marketing FD, emphasized, “We will provide customers with the opportunity to purchase popular TVs at more reasonable prices and further solidify our leadership in the premium TV market.”

LG전자가 프리미엄 TV ‘LG SIGNATURE(시그니처) 올레드TV W’를 고급 리조트에 설치해 프리미엄 마케팅을 강화한다. LG전자는 서울 남산에 위치한 ‘반얀트리 클럽 앤 스파 서울(Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul)’, 경상남도 남해에 위치한 ‘사우스케이프 스파 앤 스위트(Southcape Spa & Suite)’ 등 고급 호텔과 리조트 로비에 ‘LG 시그니처 올레드 TV W’를 설치했다. LG전자는 ‘LG 시그니처 올레드 TV W’ 광고 영상, HDR(High Dynamic Range) 영상, 돌비 애트모스(Dolby ATMOSTM)의 입체 사운드 등 콘텐츠를 재생한다. 방문객들이 ‘LG 시그니처 올레드 TV W’의 차원이 다른 화질과 음질을 경험할 수 있도록 했다.

77인치 투명 플렉서블 디스플레이가 공개됐다. 산업통상자원부는 22일(목) 서울 올림픽파크텔에서 한국산업기술평가관리원, LG디스플레이와 공동으로 ‘투명 플렉시블 디스플레이 국책과제 성과보고회’를 열었다. 보고회에서 대형 유기발광다이오드(OLED) 플렉서블 디스플레이를 활용한 스마트 데스크, 증강현실(AR)수족관 등 미래형 융복합 제품을 전시했다. 이 날 최초로 대외 공개된 77인치 투명 플렉서블 디스플레이는 CES에서 발표한 55인치 FHD급에 비해 크기와 해상도가 크게 개선됐다.
