Wacom Participates in the Seoul Illustration Fair 2017
Published2017.07.19 10:43Wacom announced that it will be participating in the Seoul Illustration Fair (SIF) and Bucheon International Comics Festival (BICOF), which will run until the 23rd, where visitors can freely experience the tablet and will be running a Wacom booth and various giveaway events.
The Seoul Illustration Fair, held at COEX in Samseong-dong until the 23rd, is a specialized exhibition showcasing illustration and graphic design. This year marks its third year. At the event, Wacom will showcase and offer hands-on experience of its full lineup, including its latest products for designers, illustrators, and others, including the Cintiq Pro and Intuos Pro. Wacom specialists will be on hand to provide one-on-one product explanations and consultations, and on-site purchases will also be available.
Additionally, those who participate in the survey event held at the Wacom booth during the event will be entered into a drawing to win a Cintiq13HD (1 person) and a Bamboo Duo (100 people), and all visitors to the booth will receive a souvenir.
Wacom will also be participating in the Bucheon International Comics Festival, a traditional powerhouse in comics, animation, and webtoons. At the Wacom booth, supporters will be helping visitors create their own comics and webtoons using Wacom tablets. All participants who complete an on-site survey will receive a free three-month license to Clip Studio Pro EX, a specialized graphic design tool for comics and illustrations. In particular, 50 additional winners will be selected through a raffle to receive a Bamboo Duo. At the "Buddha's Anatomy Notes" drawing concert, held on the BICOF main stage from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, the 20th, artist Seok Jeong-hyeon will give a live drawing demonstration using a Wacom Cintiq tablet.
Seong Sang-hee, head of Wacom Korea, said, “With summer vacation approaching, various creative events will be held. As a leading brand of tablets widely used in various creative fields, Wacom plans to provide visitors with a variety of products, digital drawing experiences, and prize events.”

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
