Home IoT platform to be applied to apartments in Gyeonggi Gwangju scheduled for presale in August

LG Uplus announced that it has signed a business agreement to build a home IoT platform for approximately 9,000 units of Moa Miraedo Apartments, which Moa General Construction will supply starting in the second half of the year.

Under this agreement, LG Uplus plans to expand the application of its Home IoT platform to apartment complexes supplied by Moa General Construction nationwide, starting with 587 units of the Ssangdong 1 District Moa Miraedo Park Hills apartment complex scheduled for sale in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do.

The home IoT platform built within the apartment is an integrated system that allows the use of existing home networks and LG Uplus’s home IoT services through a single application, enabling residents to control not only existing built-in systems such as lighting, heating, and gas installed upon moving in, but also individually purchased IoT home appliances from LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, Cuckoo Electronics, etc., through a smartphone app.

LG Uplus's dedicated IoT app, 'IoT@home,' not only offers integrated control but also analyzes usage patterns of connected IoT home appliances to recommend various control scenarios—such as commuting, weekends, and travel—to users, thereby optimizing appliance usage according to the situation. Furthermore, it provides convenience by automatically executing device operations upon leaving or returning home based on smartphone location data.

Meanwhile, LG Uplus is rapidly expanding its home IoT infrastructure into the housing construction market by successively signing business agreements with more than 25 major construction companies, the largest number in the country.
