LG Electronics unveiled the 'LG Q8', the second ambitious model in the 'LG Q Series', equipped with premium features such as powerful sound and a camera, on the 24th.

The LG Q8 features a 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) high-resolution screen, Hi-fi sound, front and rear wide-angle cameras, water and dust resistance, and fingerprint recognition. LG Electronics plans to release it in August in two colors: Urban Titan, which has a sophisticated and urban feel, and Sweet Pink, which has a lively and cheerful feel.

The strategy is to broaden consumer choice by serving as a bridge between the premium GV series and the budget-friendly X series. Equipped with a quad DAC (Digital to Analog Converter), it boasts clear, noise-free sound quality. The quad DAC integrates four DACs into a single chip, reducing noise by up to 50% compared to a single DAC.

On the back, it has a 16-megapixel camera with a 78-degree field of view and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 135-degree field of view, while on the front, it has a 5-megapixel camera with a field of view of up to 120 degrees.

It also has a built-in ‘shake correction function (Steady Record 2.0)’ that prevents the smartphone from shaking and causing shaky recordings when shooting videos. The 'Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)' function and the 'Digital Image Stabilization (DIS)' function are combined to enable more stable recording.

LG Electronics has implemented a "Second Screen" in the LG Q8, which constantly displays customized information without needing to turn on the phone. The Second Screen acts as an independent display above the main display, displaying basic information like the time, day of the week, and battery status, as well as notifications like text messages and social media. Users can conveniently create shortcuts to settings like NFC, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, as well as frequently used apps and contacts. It also displays recently used apps, making it ideal for multitasking.
