5 Types of IoT Sensors Compatible with LG Electronics' Smart Home Application 'SmartThinQ'
LG Electronics Continuously Strengthens Partnerships with External Companies

LG Electronics is expanding its smart home ecosystem by launching 5 types of home IoT sensors that customers can easily use through partnerships with domestic and international companies.

Starting from the 24th, LG Electronics will sell 5 types of home IoT sensors that detect leaks, smoke, carbon monoxide, door openings, and motion at LG Best Shops. These products are manufactured by external companies.



The 5 newly launched IoT devices include ▲a leak sensor attached to boiler rooms or sink drain pipes where direct checking is difficult ▲a smoke sensor that alerts with a warning sound when it continuously detects smoke from smoking and food cooking for 8 to 10 seconds or longer ▲a sensor that detects and warns of carbon monoxide, which is colorless and odorless and cannot be perceived by humans ▲an opening detection sensor installed on doors or window frames to alert of external intrusion ▲a motion sensor that detects movement in a space within a 110-degree left-right range within 12 meters, all compatible with LG Electronics' smart home application 'SmartThinQ'. Users can not only control home appliances via smartphone but also easily check the home situations detected by IoT sensors.

LG Electronics plans to continuously strengthen partnerships with multiple partner companies to ensure operation within its smart home platform.

Ryu Hye-jung, Executive Director in charge of H&A Smart Solution BD at LG Electronics' H&A Business Division, emphasized, "Through scalability and open strategy, we will enable more customers to experience the differentiated value provided by LG Electronics smart home."
