As part of its global education program, the Deep Learning Institute, NVIDIA is offering free online basic courses on the latest deep learning theories and practical techniques for domestic deep learning developers, industry professionals, and students.

The Deep Learning Institute is a global training program conducted by NVIDIA to meet the ever-increasing worldwide demand for expertise in the field of artificial intelligence. At the GPU Technology Conference held last May, NVIDIA also announced plans to train 100,000 deep learning developers this year through this program. In Korea, the Deep Learning Institute has been held monthly to conduct offline training, leading the acceleration of deep learning technology—considered a core element of the Fourth Industrial Revolution—and taking the lead in building a domestic deep learning technology ecosystem.



The newly launched online Deep Learning Institute 'Self-Paced Lab' provides education that is easily accessible to deep learning beginners as well as experts worldwide, including developers, data scientists, and IT professionals. This course is delivered through Quiklab, a global hands-on software training platform provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud. Students wishing to take the course can select and take courses of interest from among several labs where they can practice and learn on individual topics simply by signing up for Quick Labs.

In particular, through the Self-Paced Lab, it offers two representative introductory courses for deep learning beginners where users can learn basic knowledge and perform simple deep learning exercises, as well as a course for studying the basic concepts of GPUs and verifying their performance firsthand, all for free. Through these free introductory courses, not only developers and industry professionals but also the general public, including students, can understand the basic concepts of deep learning and build foundational knowledge for advanced learning.

The free course for beginners consists of hands-on exercises where you learn how to run deep learning on frameworks such as Caffe, Theano, and Torch, and directly perform handwritten digit classification using deep learning with the DIGITS and Caffe frameworks. It also covers accelerated computing, including the concepts and applications of GPUs and CUDA.
