Receives Stability Verification from U.S. UL under Severe Conditions

LG Electronics has received safety validation from UL (Underwriter Laboratories), a safety certification body, for its premium 'LG SIGNATURE' products.

Following the basic safety standard certification previously obtained by major 'LG SIGNATURE' products, the company has now undergone verification even under severe conditions and acquired the 'UL Verified' mark. This is the first time 'LG SIGNATURE' has received safety verification under severe conditions from UL.

The 'LG SIGNATURE' products verified this time are four products launched in the United States: OLED TV, refrigerator, washing machine, and humidifying air purifier. Additionally, the microwave oven from the premium built-in 'SIGNATURE KITCHEN SUITE' has undergone the same verification.

The LG SIGNATURE refrigerator has been confirmed to be safe even under conditions where customers open and close the door more severely. According to U.S. safety standards, the refrigerator and freezer doors are opened and closed 300,000 and 150,000 times respectively with the door shelves unfilled, but the LG SIGNATURE refrigerator has proven safe even when the shelves on the inside of the door are fully stocked with food and opened and closed 300,000 times each.

Major 'LG SIGNATURE' products have been verified as safe even at voltages up to four times higher than international standards, taking into consideration the possibility of situations where voltage and current change rapidly due to surge (lightning strikes) and overvoltage inflow.
