IL Science’s recently launched new product recorded the highest luminous efficiency in Korea at 160lm/W based on the LED standard module standards of the Korea Expressway Corporation and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

The newly released products include three types of streetlights and two types of security lights. They feature silicone lenses that generate higher efficiency compared to PC (plastic) and PMMA (acrylic), resulting in a luminous efficiency increase of more than 25% compared to existing products.

Based on these advantages, all five types have obtained high-efficiency certification from the Korea Energy Management Corporation, and three types of streetlights have received external recognition for their ability to achieve optimal brightness under various conditions, such as obtaining the highest grade, M1, under the Korean Standard (KS) road lighting standards.

According to the results of the Korea Energy Agency's luminous efficiency survey conducted from November last year to July this year, 88 out of 513 security light products surveyed recorded an efficiency of 112–116 lm/W, the highest level was found to be 142 lm/W.

In the case of streetlights, 89 out of 534 products showed an efficiency of 109–113 lm/W, and even the product with the highest efficiency only reached 147 lm/W, recording low overall efficiency.

CEO Song Seong-geun stated, “We are leading the rapidly changing market through the expansion of new technology infrastructure and research and development,” adding, “As local governments are proceeding with projects based on clear standards following the standardization of LED lighting, our products are expected to receive even more attention.”

Meanwhile, IL Science is also applying its new high-efficiency technology to new tunnel lighting products. We plan to expand its application and advance product sophistication and differentiation through NEP new product certification and the expansion of excellent products approved by the Public Procurement Service.
