Kaminario Flex, a platform for the management and orchestration of composable storage

Kaminario has unveiled its new NVMe all-flash storage product, 'Kaminario K2.N (Kaminario K2.NTM)', and 'Kaminario Flex™', a platform for the management and orchestration of composable storage.

K2.N is a scale-out and active-active storage system equipped with NVMe drives. It supports Converged Ethernet and NVMeF on the backend, and NVMeF, fiber channel, and iSCSI connections on the frontend. It consists of controller nodes (c.nodes) and media nodes (m.nodes) and supports shared NVMeF and fabric connectivity.

Regardless of the number of media nodes, if you purchase two or more controller nodes, you can configure a scale-out storage cluster with a true active-active structure by sharing data reduction space. In particular, it provides enterprise-grade data services while ensuring differentiated shared storage flexibility.

Unlike traditional storage, it offers the unique benefits provided by cloud-scale shared storage infrastructure through a configurable storage approach.

Kaminario's new products, K2.N and Flex, enable individual storage used by various business units to be utilized in a shared resource pool. This allows for the detection, replacement, and provisioning of hardware errors through software.

A new tiering model enables the dynamic movement of data between tiers without physical reconfiguration. Performance-sensitive analytics workloads can borrow additional controller compute to handle urgent requirements and return it to the shared pool when no longer needed.
