Expanding Customer Touchpoints with Technology Including CASB, Data Loss Prevention, Web Security, and More

Proofpoint has announced the appointment of George Chang as Vice President of Sales for the Asia-Pacific region, and will further strengthen its Asia-Pacific operations to meet the growing demand for human-centric cyber security solutions.

Vice President Chang will be based at Proofpoint's Singapore office and will report to Sean Foster, Proofpoint's Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Vice President Chang will lead Proofpoint's growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific region and will expand customer touchpoints across Proofpoint's entire technology portfolio, including CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker), data loss prevention, insider threat, web security, email security, and next-generation firewall.

Sean Foster, CRO, stated, "In the new digital and mobile environment where there are no longer boundaries, Proofpoint products alone are not sufficient to detect and protect data. Vice President Chang brings more than 20 years of international business experience across the technology industry. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales at Fortinet's Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, and previously held senior executive positions at several technology companies including OpenNet Pte, SYSTEX South Asia, Inter-touch Pte, and STSN Asia-Pacific headquarters. Vice President Chang holds a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Computing from Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
