Hancom MDS to Host Seminar for DevOps Experts
Published2017.09.08 14:35Hancom MDS (formerly MDS Technology) will hold a 'DevOps Expert Invitation Seminar' at COEX in Samseong-dong on the 13th.
This seminar, titled "Understanding DevOps through Case Studies," will cover the latest DevOps technologies and implementation methods. With the increasing number of advanced cases leveraging DevOps to improve software development efficiency, domestic and international experts will provide a comprehensive understanding of DevOps and share market trends.
First, the CTO of ElectricCloud, a US-based DevOps optimization solutions company, will visit Korea and present on the application of DevOps in the IoT software development process. He will introduce how IoT developers can dramatically streamline and accelerate their work by applying DevOps across product design, development, testing, and manufacturing stages.
Case studies of DevOps being implemented in domestic social media services will also be presented. Kakao introduced a DevOps environment to KakaoStory, improving service quality and stability. A DevOps practitioner at KakaoStory will personally present this case study.
The book also delves into the case of DevOps implementation in the automotive industry. In the automotive field, where time-to-market is crucial, shortening development times and efficiently utilizing human resources are crucial for the development of battlefield software. As a solution to this, Hancom MDS presents a case study of applying a Variant-based DevOps development environment to a major domestic automobile company.
Hancom MDS Vice President Woo Jun-seok said, “DevOps has proven its effectiveness in various fields such as finance, IoT, mobile, IT, and automobiles,” and added, “Domestic software development companies should also take interest in this method to maximize efficiency throughout the software lifecycle by integrating the operation and management process after the release of a software product.”

MDS Technology's IoT Device Management Platform Receives Top Rating
MDS Technology announced that its proprietary IoT device management platform 'NeoIDM' received the highest evaluation in the interoperability test (TestFest) hosted by OMA (Open Mobile Appliance). OMA is an international standardization organization for wireless internet solutions and service specifications. To ensure network interoperability among IoT devices, OMA presents standard protocols such as LwM2M and holds TestFest annually to publicly disclose interoperability test results for LwM2M standard protocol-based clients and servers. MDS Technology received the highest evaluation among 42 interoperability test items in which a total of 12 companies including ARM, AVSystem, GEMALTO, and Huawei participated. With this result, NeoIDM was recognized as Korea's first IoT device management platform to secure End-To-End interoperability from client to server.

SalePoint Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement with AWS… Promoting Identity Security that Integrates Even AI Agents
Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. The plan is to consistently manage access permissions in an environment where AI agents are increasing as work execution entities, while applying the principle of least privilege and automated policy enforcement. The two companies plan to jointly expand capabilities to manage the identities of various entities, including AI agents, within a single layer in the AWS environment. This collaboration is interpreted as a move to design security and governance together in corporate environments where AI adoption is expanding.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
