LG Electronics to showcase automotive component technology at Frankfurt Motor Show
Published2017.09.11 11:14LG Electronics will participate in the '2017 Frankfurt Motor Show' held in Frankfurt, Germany from September 14 to 24, introducing LG Electronics' automotive component technology.
During the Frankfurt Motor Show, LG Electronics will set up a private booth showcasing core automotive components from September 12 to 15 for global OEM customers. LG Chem and LG Hausys will also participate in the exhibition.
Starting with the Beijing Motor Show in 2014, LG Electronics participates in major global motor shows every year, but this will be the first time participating in the Frankfurt Motor Show. In particular, through this participation, LG Electronics has established its position as a global Tier 1 (first-tier supplier) company by participating in all three major motor shows in the world (based on number of participating companies): China's Beijing/Shanghai Motor Show, the United States' Detroit Motor Show, and Germany's Frankfurt Motor Show.
The exhibition theme this time is 'Innovation Partner.' This represents LG Electronics' commitment to jointly develop automotive components with global OEM customers that can serve as a driving force for innovation.
LG Electronics will display next-generation automotive components in various fields: ▲Car infotainment devices including AV navigation and center display units ▲Autonomous driving and convenience devices such as ADAS cameras and LCD instrument clusters ▲Electric vehicle drive solutions including drive motors and inverters ▲Electric vehicle air conditioning and cooling solutions such as electric compressors and battery heaters.
LG Chem's next-generation battery materials and battery packs, as well as LG Hausys' next-generation interior and exterior materials and lightweight components will also be displayed.
Major European OEMs will also showcase new vehicles equipped with LG Electronics' next-generation OLED rear lamps and autonomous driving concept cars with LG Electronics' connected car solutions applied.
Lee Woo-jong, President of LG Electronics' VC Business Division, stated, "Through participation in the Frankfurt Motor Show, where major global OEMs gather, we have further expanded our points of contact with customers," and added, "We will continue to present LG Electronics' advanced automotive component technologies that can enhance the competitiveness of OEM customers."
