Artesyn Embedded Technologies has announced the ControlSafe Compact Carbon Platform. This shortens the time-to-market for railway system integration service providers and reduces the cost and risk of developing train control and railway signaling applications.

All platforms in the Atesin ControlSafe portfolio utilize the same core processing and voting capabilities, and the latest models unveiled this time feature a single I/O slot dedicated to connecting to external I/O boxes and equipment.

Two 4U high chassis with a half-rack width can be installed side-by-side in a single row on a standard 19-inch rack. It is designed for on-board applications such as Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO), and Positive Train Control (PTC), and can also be used for ground applications such as train control and railway signaling operations.
