Hancom MDS announced that it was selected as a '2017 Venture Billion Won Company,' jointly organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Venture Business Association.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Venture Business Association announce venture companies that have surpassed 100 billion won in sales every year. Hancom MDS was selected as a "100 Billion Won Venture Company" after achieving 112.4 billion won in sales on an individual basis (150.2 billion won on a consolidated basis) last year.

Hancom MDS's revenue last year increased by 21.1% (27.5% on a consolidated basis) compared to the previous year, exceeding the average revenue growth rate of 7.2% for the selected venture companies with 100 billion won in revenue.

It is a company that has been leading the domestic embedded industry. In particular, it is making a significant contribution to the localization of defense software, notably by independently developing the nation's first real-time operating system (RTOS) for embedded systems and successfully conducting flight tests.

As the importance of embedded system technology is growing in line with the recent trends of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Hancom MDS plans to proactively respond to market demand in fields such as IoT, autonomous vehicles, smart factories, and intelligent robots. Accordingly, Hancom MDS plans to expand its business scope into fields that can create synergy with its existing embedded system technology.
