Save your ID/password on USIM and log in with your phone number

AT Solutions (CEO Jongseo Kim), a fintech certification specialist company, announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Bitcoin exchange Coinone for its ‘Phone Number Secure Login’ service.

The "Phone Number Secure Login" service is a secure service that allows users to log in using their phone number by storing their ID and password information on a USIM, a first-class security device. Typically, security and convenience are a trade-off, with increased security often leading to decreased convenience. However, "Phone Number Secure Login" offers both security and convenience.

Coinone has recently decided to introduce 'Phone Number Secure Login' to protect customer information and assets amidst the frequent hacking attempts targeting cryptocurrency exchanges. Through this, the company plans to simultaneously enhance security and convenience when logging in.

In a situation where a cryptocurrency exchange's account information is leaked to hackers due to a hacking incident, even if the service site is thoroughly secured, if the user does not change/manage the leaked account information, they will be helpless against a brute force attack.

On the other hand, users who log in using their phone number will not be able to log in to Coinone even if a hacker attempts a guessing attack. The reason is because of the login method of 'Phone Number Secure Login'. In the convenience of logging in with a phone number, only the 2-channel login method through phone number authentication is activated, so login is not approved by a brute force attack attempted with the existing ID/PW input method.

AT Solutions plans to complete the development of a phone number-based secure login service as early as October, and once the service is launched, it plans to run a joint sign-up promotion with Coinone.
