IL Science Launches High-Efficiency Tunnel Light

IL Science (CEO Song Seong-geun) has released five types of tunnel lights that achieve a high level of luminous efficiency.
These five new products, available in wattage ratings of 50W, 75W, 100W, 125W, and 150W, feature the latest modules developed in-house last month, maximizing luminous efficacy to 140-149 lm/W (lumens per watt, light output per unit of power). This ranks among the highest among 468 products surveyed by the Korea Energy Management Corporation for luminous efficacy.
Equipped with a silicone lens, the product boasts a 25% increase in luminous efficiency compared to existing PC (plastic) or PMMA (acrylic) materials. IL Science has proven its product quality by obtaining high-efficiency certification from the Korea Energy Management Corporation.
In particular, the products 'IL-TL75-001' (75W, 142lm/W) and 'IL-TL125-001' (125W, 144lm/W) are said to have achieved the highest luminous efficiency among domestic products of the same wattage (W).
Based on the excellent performance of this new product, IL Science plans to actively participate in the 'Aging Tunnel Light Replacement Project' being carried out nationwide. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport previously announced that it would implement a lighting improvement project in stages by 2019 for approximately 260 aging tunnels.
CEO Song Seong-geun said, “Following streetlights and security lights, we have achieved the highest level of luminous efficiency in our new tunnel light product, which is the result of our continuous investment in R&D,” and added, “We expect that our new product will contribute to improving the traffic environment, including accident prevention.”

IL Science Records Highest Light Efficiency in Korea Using Silicone Lenses
IL Science's recently launched new products have achieved 160lm/W, the highest luminous efficacy in Korea according to LED standard module criteria set by Korea Expressway Corporation and Seoul Metropolitan City. The newly released products consist of three types of street lights and two types of security lights, featuring silicon lenses that generate higher efficiency compared to PC (plastic) and PMMA (acrylic), resulting in over 25% increased luminous efficacy compared to existing products. Based on these advantages, all five product types have obtained high-efficiency certification from the Korea Energy Agency. The three street light types have also achieved M1 class, the highest grade under Korean Standards (KS) road lighting criteria, gaining external recognition for their ability to implement superior brightness under various conditions.
