Kornus Installing IoT Smart Restrooms at 6 Stations on KTX Gyeonggang Line

Kornus is proceeding with IoT smart restroom installation project at 6 stations on the KTX Gyeonggang Line.
The KTX Gyeonggang Line, which connects major cities between Seoul and Gangneung, will open in December ahead of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. Kornus plans to complete smart restroom construction at 6 stations including Manzong, Hoengseong, Dunnae, Jinbu, PyeongChang, and Gangneung by the end of this month.
The 'smart restroom,' one of Kornus's main business sectors, is a system based on wireless sensing sensor technology that accurately identifies the presence of users in the restroom and displays the status on the entrance and each stall door. Its distinguishing feature is a revolutionary improvement of the shortcomings of existing wired and magnetic methods, which had complex construction procedures and frequent failures.
Through the 'highway rest area restroom remodeling project' promoted by the Korea Expressway Corporation since last year, it has been installed at approximately 40 rest areas across the national expressway system, and has also been adopted at SRT (Super Rapid Train) Suseo Station, Dongtan Station, Jije Station, and KTX Daejeon Station.
Park Chang-sik, CEO of Kornus, said, "We hope that our smart restroom system can play a small role in impressing foreign visitors coming to Korea during the Olympics with an image of 'Korea as an ICT powerhouse.'"

The IoT War of the Three Major Telecom Companies: Find Service Models Using AI
NB-IoT is a technology realizable through LTE, with wide application scope and low cost "When it comes to NB-IoT, many think of building a new network infrastructure. H.Energy has obtained green technology certification from the Small and Medium Business Administration for solar power generation forecasting and I-V curve anomaly diagnosis technology. The AI-based asset management platform SolarOnCare is deployed across more than 3,000 power plants nationwide, achieving a system uptime of 99.82% and a 3.7% improvement in power generation performance. Through real-time data analysis, it protects power generation revenue by detecting and managing minor losses such as module degradation and partial shading early on.
