Ninebot announced that it has secured US$100 million in a C-round financing from SDIC Fund Management Company Ltd. and China Mobile Fund. China Renaissance served as the exclusive financial advisor.

To further accelerate Ninebot's global expansion, this round of funding focuses on mobile robotics and intelligent short-distance transportation solutions.

Since its founding in 2012, Ninebot has grown rapidly and has received support from numerous investors and shareholders, including Xiaomi, Sequoia Capital, Shunwei Capital, Huashan Capital, Intel, GIC, and Haiquan Funds. In March 2015, Ninebot acquired Segway, a global leader in self-balancing vehicles. This acquisition created the Segway & Ninebot Group, making it a global leader in intelligent short-distance transportation solutions. Currently, the Segway & Ninebot Group is a leader in two main business areas: personal transportation and Segway robotics.
