Garmin Hosts Running Class Offering Outdoor Practical Coaching
Published2017.11.02 17:16Garmin announced that it will be hosting its first running class for domestic running enthusiasts in Korea. The 'Garmin Running Class' to be held on November 5th at Samseong-dong, Seoul, will invite 60 runners to receive professional instruction from Hsu Kuo-Feng, a Taiwanese triathlon athlete, followed by practical coaching outdoors.
Athlete Hsu Kuo-Feng holds the record as the first Taiwanese to complete the 226K Ironman course in under 10 hours and is a sports expert who has published over 10 books related to endurance training. Currently serving as the manager of Garmin APAC region running coach training programs and running academy, he continues to provide consistent support and dedication to athlete development.
The indoor lecture, which will run for two hours, will cover the importance and application of heart rate measurement during running, as well as proper running posture to prevent injury. A Q&A session will also be provided where participants can ask questions about their regular exercise routines and Garmin product usage.
During the outdoor session held at COEX Plaza outdoor square, participants will receive customized training that teaches running form correction and proper posture, and will have the opportunity to run together, drawing significant interest from many runners.
Daniel Zen, General Manager of Garmin Korea, said, "We are delighted to have this opportunity to provide useful information to runners and communicate with them through the running class," and added, "We plan to continue conducting various educational and experiential events to expand customer touchpoints for safe and enjoyable running experiences for runners."
