LG OLED TV Wins 'CES Innovation Award' for 6 Consecutive Years

LG OLED TV won CES Innovation Awards in categories such as Video Display and Digital Imaging.
It achieved the remarkable feat of winning the 'CES Innovation Award' for six consecutive years starting in 2013. Unlike LCD TVs, OLED TVs do not require a backlight. Each pixel emits light on its own, creating a perfect black screen. Furthermore, it expresses colors closest to nature.
The 'LG Super Ultra HD TV,' also known as the 'NanoCell TV,' was named to the list of 'CES Innovation Awards.' Its strengths include vivid color reproduction and a wide viewing angle.
LG Electronics won a total of 18 'CES Best Innovation Awards' and 'CES Innovation Awards'. Innovative products such as beam projectors, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, smartphones, monitors, and audio systems received awards across the board.
The 'LG ProBeam TV' had the honor of winning the 'CES Best Innovation Award,' becoming the first LG beam projector to do so.
LG Electronics received a total of nine CES Innovation Awards in the Home Appliance category. Seven of these awards were won in premium refrigerators alone, including the smart Magic Space refrigerator and the Knock-on Magic Space refrigerator.
The smart 'Magic Space' refrigerator features both smart functions and 'Magic Space,' a new concept storage space that reduces cold air leakage by 47%. Users can check the product status, such as whether the door is open, or control operations, such as adjusting the refrigerator temperature, through the 'SmartThinQ' application on their smartphones. It can also be controlled by voice through devices equipped with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
The 'Knock-on Magic Space' refrigerator adds the 'Knock-on' feature to 'Magic Space'. When a user taps the 'Magic Space' door, the interior light turns on, allowing them to check the stored food without opening the door.
The 'TwinWash' washer-dryer set, consisting of one top-loading washer and one dryer, also won a 'CES Innovation Award'. A miniwash is integrated into the bottom of the dryer.
The LG V30 received the CES Innovation Award in the Smartphone (Wireless Handsets and Accessories) category. It features a slim thickness of 7.3mm and a weight of 158g. It is the lightest smartphone among those with a screen size of 6 inches or larger.
In addition, it features the brightest F1.6 Crystal Clear Lens among smartphones, a next-generation dual camera with a 120-degree low-distortion wide angle, and premium sound with tuning by 'B&O Play' added to the Hi-Fi Quad DAC (Digital to Analog Converter).
In addition, 4K monitors and party audio also won 'CES Innovation Awards'.
LG Electronics will exhibit its award-winning products at 'CES 2018', which will be held in Las Vegas, USA, on January 9 next year.

LG Electronics, Starfield Guide Robots Do It
LG Electronics will greet customers with its in-house developed guidance robot at 'Starfield Hanam,' the nation's largest shopping complex. LG Electronics has partnered with 'Shinsegae Property,' which operates the shopping theme park 'Starfield,' and has begun field testing two guidance robots at the large shopping mall Starfield Hanam, located in Hanam-si, Gyeonggi Province, starting this week. LG Electronics plans to conduct field testing for approximately two weeks and then launch official pilot services from the end of this month. The guidance robot autonomously travels around the information desk area on the first floor and provides services such as directions to major facilities and stores, and advertising content to visitors to Starfield Hanam, which attracts approximately 25 million visitors annually. For example, when a customer searches for a specific store through the robot's touchscreen, the robot provides directions to the store's location, detailed route information, and estimated travel time via both screen and voice guidance.

LG Electronics is conducting global cultural marketing to communicate the superior picture quality of its 'LG OLED TV'. LG Electronics recently installed the 'LG SIGNATURE OLED TV W' (77-inch) at the 'Ayasofya' museum, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Istanbul, Turkey.
